From Hollywood Star To Business Tycoon: Priyanka Chopra’s Strategic Ventures And Real Estate Investments

Priyanka Chopra’s journey from Quantico to global stardom and entrepreneurship has been remarkable. Her Anomaly hair care brand, launched in 2021, has thrived globally with eco-friendly practices. The brand’s success, alongside Chopra’s real estate investments, underscores her multifaceted success in business and entertainment, solidifying her as a prominent figure in both industries.

Priyanka Chopra’s meteoric rise to global stardom has been nothing short of remarkable. Following her role in the American television series Quantico, Chopra chose to stay in Hollywood, creating waves and making her fans immensely proud. Today, she stands as one of the most prominent global stars and a successful entrepreneur. Her venture into the beauty industry with the Anomaly hair care brand, among other businesses, has significantly boosted her net worth.

Launched in February 2021, Anomaly Hair Care quickly garnered attention. Despite fierce competition from other celebrity-owned beauty brands, Chopra’s line received a positive reception. Starting with a soft launch in the USA, the brand expanded its reach to other countries. Anomaly Hair has since become a worldwide phenomenon, with the brand’s net worth skyrocketing.

Anomaly Hair Care began its journey exclusively at Target stores in the USA. The brand, known for being gender-neutral and cruelty-free, aims to provide hair care solutions free from harmful chemicals, catering to all hair types. The products, including shampoos, conditioners, hair masks, and dry shampoos, are priced at a budget-friendly US $5.99. In India, where the brand was introduced in 2022, the products are available on Nykaa, priced between Rs 750-1000.

According to Cosmetify, a UK-based comparison platform, Anomaly generated approximately £429 million (around INR 4,300 crore) in business last year, making it the second wealthiest beauty brand globally. Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty held the top spot with a business of £477 million (around INR 4,800 crore) for the year.

Anomaly stands out as an eco-friendly and budget-conscious brand. Its appeal is further enhanced by its commitment to environment-conscious packaging. The products are packed using materials made from 100% recycled waste collected from landfills and oceans. This approach not only lowers packaging costs but also keeps the product prices affordable.

Chopra’s vision for Anomaly stemmed from a market gap she identified. “I decided I wanted to do a beauty line, but I didn’t know what it would be until I realised what the gap in the market was. You’ve seen a lot of skincare be sustainable, clean, vegan, and cruelty-free, but you haven’t really seen that in hair care much. I wanted superior products, no parabens, and sulphates, but super clean,” the actress told ELLE US.

Beyond her beauty brand, Chopra has also made significant investments in real estate. According to Indian income tax disclosures, she owns about nine properties, including five in the Raj Classic building in Mumbai and an apartment in New York City. In 2018, she and her husband, Nick Jonas, resided in a $6.5 million Beverly Hills home. In 2019, the couple purchased a mansion in Encino, California, for $20 million.
