This Brother-sister Wedding Dance Shows Sibling Bonds Are Forever

    August 7, 2024

Every once in a while, a viral video makes the rounds online that has the same effect as someone cutting onions. A whole lot of onions. Like, a truckful of onions. In a room with no windows and poor ventilation. Seriously, who cut all these onions?!

All this to say, today is one of those days and this is one of those videos. Before you hit play on this one, you’re going to want to grab some tissues. Maybe a whole box.

A TikToker named Avery Albrecht shared this clip from her wedding, which showed the sweet surprise that her younger brother had in store for her on her special day: a dance just for the two of them. As they swayed around the dance floor, first the speakers played a recording of Albrecht and her brother singing together as toddlers.

“At my wedding, my brother surprised me with a dance,” Albrecht wrote over the video. “At the beginning, you can hear us singing from when he was just about two years old.”

Then the song transitioned to “You’ll Be In My Heart” by Phil Collins.

“I had asked him many times prior if he would dance with me to this song at my wedding,” Albrecht wrote, as the video showed her getting visibly emotional during the touching moment. “He always told me no.”

    What a typical brother.

Albrecht added, “There wasn’t a dry eye in the room,” as the video turned to a collection of photos of her emotional face over her brother’s shoulder.

“There is an unbreakable bond between an oldest sister and her baby brother,” she wrote in the caption.

Sheesh, have we talked about all the onions in here?!

In the comments, people were definitely feeling all the feels.

“ALL I DO IS CRY FOR STRANGERS,” one commenter wrote. Another added, “as an older sister i’m SOBBING, this is so beautiful.”

And another shared her own story, which is also very brotherly: “my brother had the DJ call me to the dance floor to have a dance with him just to rick roll me on my own wedding so im glad your brother is nicer lol.”
