Simplicity, a Summit, NJ-based financial products distribution firm, received an investment from SkyKnight Capital and Dragoneer.
Additional terms of the transaction, which is expected to close by the end of 2024 subject to regulatory approvals, were not disclosed.
As part of the transaction, Dragoneer and SkyKnight will invest equity in Simplicity to provide a liquidity opportunity for Simplicity’s employee partners and acquire the interests held by funds managed by Lee Equity Partners.
Led by Bruce Donaldson, President and CEO, Simplicity is a partner for advisors, financial institutions, and consumers delivering a combination of wealth accumulation and financial protection products. The company offers an array of tools and technologies to grow and protect wealth, which can be accessed through affiliation, outsourcing, or joining the partnership.
