The Houston man arrested and charged with the murder of his pregnant wife, was bonded out of jail over the weekend, according to a spokesperson with the Harris County DA in Texas.
Lee Mongerson Gilley, 38, is accused of killing Christa Gilley, 38, from Summerville, South Carolina, by strangulation, police said.
Gilley’s bond was initially set at $1 million last week. He posted that bond and has bonded out of jail since then.
He was released Monday Oct. 21 and is scheduled to be in court Nov. 20 for arraignment.

According to a report of the incident, officers were dispatched to the scene in reference to a report of a suicide around 11:30 p.m. on Oct. 7. Lee Gilley told officers he found his wife unresponsive in the home, police said. Christa Gilley was taken to a hospital where she was pronounced deceased.
An autopsy revealed she died due to compression of the neck and that she was eight weeks pregnant, according to police.
