    Are XRP ETFs Still Bringing In Money?

    When XRP (CRYPTO:XRP) ETFs launched in November 2025, money poured in, with $667 million in the first month alone. But eight months on, the inflows have almost completely stopped, with just $4 million coming in so far this month.

    The drop in inflows has been happening steadily since the turn of the year. Monthly inflows have fallen from hundreds of millions at the start to just a few million now, and this July, there have been many days with either zero inflows or outflows.

    The slowdown raises a big question about whether demand for XRP ETFs has dried up for good. So, are XRP ETFs still bringing in money?

    How Much Have XRP ETFs Actually Taken In?

    Since launching in November 2025, XRP ETFs have pulled in about $1.49 billion, and money is still trickling in today. So on the surface these funds are net positive, but that total hides how lopsided the flows have been actually coming in.

    Almost all of the inflows came in right at the start. The funds pulled in $666.61 million in November and another $499.91 million in December, so nearly 80% of everything they have ever gathered arrived in their first two months. That early rush made sense, because the people who had waited years for a spot XRP fund bought in the moment it opened. Once that euphoria vanished, the pace was always going to slow.

    And slow it did. Monthly inflows dropped to $15 million in January, then recovered a little to $58 million in February. In March, the funds saw their first and only monthly outflow, losing about $31 million as the U.S. and Iran war, and rising inflation drove investors out of crypto assets. 

    Inflows came back through Q2, building to $131 million in May as XRP rallied, but that didn’t last. The funds took in $59 million in June, and have recorded just $4.28 million so far in July, making it the weakest month yet. So, money hasn’t stopped flowimng in, but the flood at launch has thinned to a trickle, and most days this month, nothing comes in at all.

    Why XRP ETF Inflows Slowed to a Trickle

    The easy conclusion is that investors soured on XRP. But that’s not quite right as every crypto ETF went through the same dry spell this summer, and the biggest ones had it far worse.

    U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs lost roughly $8.2 billion over an eight-week stretch of outflows, and Ethereum ETFs lost more than $1.2 billion in the same window. Those are the two largest, most established crypto funds in the world, and money was pouring out of them. Against that backdrop, a quiet few months in XRP’s much smaller funds shows the pullback hit the whole market, not XRP alone.

    One of the main reasons for the outflows across crypto ETFs is that interest rates stayed high for much of the year, so investors could earn a safe return without touching crypto. On top of that, big money rotated out of digital assets and into AI stocks, and some was pulled out to fund a wave of large IPOs. When cash leaves risk assets like this, crypto ETFs are among the first places it exits, and the demand behind them dries up.

    What stands out is how XRP held up through it. While Bitcoin and Ethereum funds were bleeding billions, XRP’s funds stayed mostly positive week after week, taking in small amounts rather than losing money. XRP didn’t lose a demand war. It went through the same cold stretch as everyone else and, if anything, handled it better than funds ten times its size.

    Why XRP ETF Assets Fell While Inflows Stayed Positive

    One number seems to contradict everything above. These funds have taken in about $1.49 billion since launch, but they only hold around $991 million today. If the money kept flowing in, how do they end up holding less than went into them?

    The answer is the XRP price, not investors leaving. XRP ETFs hold actual XRP, so the value of each fund rises and falls with the token. When these funds launched in November 2025, XRP traded between about $2.30 and $2.50, and by late December it was near $1.86. Today it trades around $1.09. So the value of XRP those funds bought last year is worth less than half of what investors paid for it, and the value of their holdings fell with it, even though almost no money left.

    This trips up a lot of people. When a fund’s total assets drop, it looks like investors are fleeing, and it reads as if XRP ETFs are bleeding money. But with XRP, that mostly hasn’t happened. Fresh money kept coming in, small but positive, while the falling price quietly ate away at the value of what the funds already held. So the funds look like they lost money even though, on the flows, they barely did.

    Will XRP ETF Inflows Recover?

    Money pulled out of crypto this year for a few clear reasons. Interest rates were high, the U.S.–Iran war rattled markets, and investors turned cautious. It starts coming back when those pressures ease, when rates fall and the market sentiment improves enough for people to strat buying crypto assets again. And that may already be starting, with Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs breaking two months of outflows to pull in $282 million in a single week. It’s small next to what left before, but it’s something positive.

    For XRP, the bigger turning point is the CLARITY Act. The bill would make XRP’s legal status permanent, which is the assurance big institutions want before they invest heavily. If it passes while the market steadies, XRP’s funds are in a strong position to rake in more inflows, because the demand never really went away. It just went quiet with the rest of the market. Until rates ease and the CLARITY Act passes, XRP holders should expect the slow drip to continue.
