T. Rowe Price has launched two European-listed active ETFs, targeting global and US equity, and which will be listed in Frankfurt, London and Milan.
The T. Rowe Price Integrated Global Equity Ucits ETF is a high conviction global active core strategy, utilising an approach with a track record of over a decade.
The T. Rowe Price Integrated US Equity Enhanced Index Ucits ETF offers US equity exposure that is ‘benchmark-aware’. The provider suggests it is suitable for a core portfolio holding or a complement to existing passive positions.
Both funds are base4d on T.Rowe Price’s investment approach that combines fundamental research, proprietary quantitative intelligence, and disciplined portfolio construction, it stated.
They are both structured as Ireland domiciled Ucits ETFs. They will be registered on European exchanges in the following chronological order: 8 October – Deutsche Börse/Xetra; 15 October – London Stock Exchange; 22 October – Borsa Italiana.
Nataline Terry, head of EMEA distribution, commented: “European investors are increasingly looking for investment solutions that can help them make their core allocations work harder while remaining disciplined around risk and portfolio construction. The new ETFs are designed to play distinct portfolio roles that can complement or replace passive exposures, and fit within a range of portfolio structures, including model portfolios.”
“As a mark of our commitment to our newly launched ETF platform, both ETFs will benefit from a fee holiday. For the first year, investors will pay zero TER, giving them access to actively managed strategies without a management fee during that period.”
Andrew Brickman, who recently joined T. Rowe Price in the newly created role as head of ETF solutions, EMEA, commentsed “he investment opportunity for ETFs is significant and is accelerating. Across Europe, ETFs have moved from being a specialist allocation tool to a mainstream vehicle. This is why we are giving European investors a new way to access selected investment capabilities through active ETFs.”
