The lucky winner secured the prize this month and it was thanks to a bond purchased in March 2021.
In total, 301 lucky bondholders across the county won a combined £822,000 in the April prize draw, according to figures analysed by latestbettingoffers.co.uk.
Other big winners included three people who each took home £50,000. Five won £25,000, seven won £10,000, and 23 won £5,000.
Matthew White, site manager at latestbettingoffers.co.uk, said: “The latest Premium Bonds draw has seen strong activity in Lancashire, with 301 winners sharing £822,000.
“The perception of safety around Premium Bonds contributes to their ever-growing popularity.
“In 2025, more than 470,000 people opened new accounts.
“Since the money is backed by the Government, people are often more comfortable leaving funds there long-term, even if the returns are unpredictable.
“For many account holders, it’s less about maximising interest and more about the combination of security and a small chance of a life-changing win.”
NS&I holds monthly Premium Bonds prize draws with prizes of up to £1,000,000.
Winners can check their results by logging into their NS&I account online or via the mobile app using their holder’s number.
Elsewhere in the UK, £52,703,000 was won nationally by 17,699 prize winners in April.
