Community to gather Sunday night to raise funds for Churches United

    August 18, 2024

MOORHEAD, Minn. (Valley News Live) – The Fargo-Moorhead community will gather Sunday night in support of Churches United.

A flash fundraiser event is set to begin at 6 p.m. at Townsite Park in Moorhead, 311 10th Ave. S.

It’s open to the public. People are encouraged to bring dinner and a blanket for a picnic.

Vendors will sell items such as jewelry, flowers and ice cream with all proceeds to go to Churches United.

The non-profit announced this week they are at risk of halting operations. They were able to raise the $61,000 they needed to pay staff within 24 hours.

In order to continue to provide shelter, food and hope to those in need, the organization needs an additional $140,000 by the end of the month.

Those who would like to use their talents to help at the flash fundraiser can click here.
