The St Leonards home participated in National Elf Day, an initiative by the Alzheimer’s Society to support dementia research.
On Wednesday, December 3, the dedicated staff swapped their usual uniforms for Christmas elf costumes in a show of support for all those living with dementia.

General manager, Gemma Chalkley, took her group of elves to deliver selection boxes to the Castleman Community Larder in West Moors to help with their Christmas Appeal Hampers.
Resident Rosemary Webber, found the day amusing.
She said: “It was a very festive day and the staff made us laugh in their costumes.
“What a wonderful way to raise money for such a wonderful charity.”
Head elf at Moors Manor, Gemma Chalkley, said: “Elf Day has been a lot of fun and we are home to some of the most unusual elves I have ever seen.”
“We know first-hand that many people, including a good number of our residents, are living with some form of Alzheimer’s.
“That’s why raising money to support dementia charities is dear to our hearts and we’re always so keen to get involved.
“For anyone that has any questions about caring for those with Alzheimer’s, do please give us a call and we’ll do all we can to help.”
