Green Energy Technologies
Solar, wind and battery storage — among other green energy technologies — are predicted to see significant expansion in the next few years in response to the global push towards sustainability, according to Bao Tran, a patent attorney with Patent PC.
“Governments all around the world offering incentives and defining ambitious targets to lower carbon footprints is making this sector more and more desirable than it has ever been,” Tran explained. “For example, solar energy companies are getting creative in designing more affordable storage systems and more efficient panels. These advances can yield really high rewards.”

Stocks
This strategy might not be new or innovative, but many stocks — particularly industrial and smaller non-caps — have the potential to blow up by the end of 2025, according to Joseph Camberato, CEO at National Business Capital.
“Small cap stocks and non-sexy old school industrial stocks will have huge upside potential. Small caps valuations have been beaten and investors have moved money into safer larger stocks such as the S&P 500,” he said. “On top of this, classic industrial companies have been overlooked because they’re not sexy tech companies that have crazy runs.”
Camberato added, “Both of these sectors have been undervalued by so many. I believe the tide is about to turn as people become less bullish on big tech names.”
Healthcare Advancements
From healthcare to finance, artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) are transforming a lot of sectors. In Tran’s professional opinion, sectors involved in gene editing, tailored medication, telehealth, biotechnology and healthcare are ready for growth.
“The COVID-19 epidemic has drawn attention to the need for fresh healthcare solutions and helped to hasten the adoption of telemedicine. Those companies expected to succeed are those who develop creative ideas or provide healthcare treatments accessible remotely,” he said. “These technologies are driving efficiencies and creating new goods and services, hence their application into business operations is becoming ever more crucial.”
Tran continued, “Investments in artificial intelligence startups or companies using AI into their operations most likely will show notable increase. The value of a startup I deal with — which specializes in artificial intelligence-driven medical diagnostics — has shot up by 50% over only the past year.”
Cryptocurrency and Blockchain
Tran pointed out that blockchain and cryptocurrencies are still becoming more mainstream, even if their volatility is still there.
“Big companies and financial institutions are looking at blockchain technology since it might speed processes and enhance security,” he said. “Resilient and with great potential for yield are cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum … Big rewards might come from diversified investments in companies developing blockchain technology or portfolios of cryptocurrencies.”
Cybersecurity
Tran believes that with the complexity and rise of cyberthreats, the need for efficient solutions to keep up against potential cyber disasters has also increased.
“Regarding safeguarding private information and guaranteeing legislative compliance, companies focused on cybersecurity are quite essential,” he shared. “Given the value governments and corporations place on data security, investing in cybersecurity companies is wise.”
Tran concluded that the ground-breaking sectors of green energy, artificial intelligence and machine learning, blockchain technology, biotechnology and cybersecurity will have great development potential by year 2025. “Improvements in technology, help from regulatory authorities and market needs rising drive these expenses,” he said.
