The open-ended debt scheme invests in high-quality money market instruments, aiming to maintain relatively low interest rate risk and low credit risk while offering liquidity. The fund house said the Direct Plan – Growth option has outperformed its primary benchmark across multiple time frames, including one year, three years, five years, 10 years and since inception.
The scheme allows investments through systematic investment plans (SIPs) and lump sum contributions, with a minimum investment threshold of ₹100. It caters to both retail and institutional investors seeking avenues to park short-term surplus funds.
The fund is managed by Brijesh Shah and Gautam Kaul. It carries an AAAmfs rating from CARE Ratings and has been classified under the A1 risk category, which indicates a low-risk profile within the regulatory risk-o-meter framework for debt schemes.
According to a presentation by the fund house, the scheme may be considered as part of a core fixed income allocation for investors with a minimum investment horizon of around six months, given its focus on highly liquid and top-rated instruments.
Bandhan AMC Limited, incorporated in 2000, offers mutual funds and other investment products across categories including alternatives and portfolio management services. The asset management company has a presence in more than 100 cities and serves investors across over 790 cities and towns, with more than 3.5 million folios.
Investors should note that money market funds, while generally considered lower risk compared with longer-duration debt funds, remain subject to interest rate movements, credit events and liquidity conditions.
