    This mutual fund has turned ₹10,000 monthly SIP into ₹27.67 lakh in 10 years

    SBI Banking & Financial Services Fund, which focuses on banking and financial sector stocks, has completed 10 years. The fund has delivered a return of 14.94% (Direct Plan) and 13.73% (Regular Plan) since its launch on February 26, 2015.

    A systematic investment plan (SIP) of ₹10,000 per month since inception (total investment of ₹12 lakh) would have grown to ₹27.67 lakh, delivering a CAGR of 15.98%, the fund house said.

    A lumpsum investment of ₹1 lakh at inception would have grown to ₹4.03 lakh (Direct Plan) and ₹3.62 lakh (Regular Plan) as of February 26, 2025.

    Over five years, the fund delivered a CAGR of 14.26%, while the benchmark Nifty Financial Services TRI returned 12.62%.

    Over three years, the fund achieved 15.71%, outperforming the benchmark’s 10.22%. In the last year, the scheme returned 14.82%, compared to the benchmark’s 14.38%.

    The fund’s assets under management (AUM) stood at ₹6,481 crore as of January 31, 2025. Milind Agrawal has been managing the scheme, the fund house stated.

    SIP returns have varied across different periods.

    The fund has delivered 17.46% CAGR over five years and 16.37% over three years.

    The Nifty Financial Services TRI recorded returns of 13.44% (five years) and 11.14% (three years).

    While past performance does not guarantee future returns, the fund has shown strong sector-focused growth.

    Investors should, however, evaluate their financial goals before investing.
