(Clarinda) – Holiday shoppers will have a chance to sip, shop and support local Southwest Iowa businesses next week.
J. Bruner’s in Clarinda will host its fifth annual Holiday Sip and Shop on Thursday, Dec. 4, from 5:30 to 8 p.m., featuring 16 vendors, live music and specialty drinks.
Event coordinator Shay Carpenter came on KMA’s Morning Jump to talk on what the evening offers, with a festive and relaxed atmosphere for holiday gift-hunters and casual browsers alike.
“This is our fifth year of hosting this holiday sip and shop,” Carpenter said. “We have some new businesses joining the lineup this year, all from Southwest Iowa, and there are 16 total. We’ll have Christmas music on the baby grand piano, cocktails and mocktails served by Martin here at Bruner’s, and it’s just a fun time for people to get together and shop for themselves or do some Christmas shopping.”
The vendor list includes businesses from Clarinda, Shenandoah, Red Oak, New Market and Corning, offering items ranging from jewelry and boutiques to floral arrangements, hats, décor and quilts.
Carpenter encouraged attendees to preview vendors ahead of time online, at J Bruner’s Facebook page to browse all that will be offered.
The event is open to the public, offering both shopping and a social kickoff to the holiday season.
The Holiday Sip and Shop will take place Thursday, Dec. 4, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at J. Bruner’s in Clarinda.
