    September 11, 2025

Everyone wants to create a retirement corpus when they don’t have any other income source. But very less people know the right way of investment to achieve their financial goal. The size of the fund for retirement depends on person to person, as everyone has a different lifestyle, and if they want to continue with that after 60. Among other retirement plans like National Pension Scheme (NPS) or Employee Pension Scheme (EPS), which are guaranteed and government-backed schemes, there are some other schemes like mutual fund (MF) investments, in which some risks are involved as they are linked to markets. Investing in mutual funds can be done either through systematic investment plan (SIP) or lump sum (one-time) investment. If you are looking to create a Rs 1,00,00,000 corpus for retirement through both ways of MF investment, here’s how you can achieve your target in 6 and 8 years.

Let’s calculate the maturity amount on the SIP investment first.
