    The United Way of West Central Mississippi has announced its annual fundraising event, Supper on the ‘Sip 2024 is set to take place Thursday, Sept. 19. 

    “This year’s event promises an unforgettable evening of gourmet dining, scenic strolls, and community support, all benefiting vital programs and initiatives across our region,” United Way of West Central Mississippi Director of Marketing and Resource Development Alyssa Lick said. 

    Supper on the ‘Sip 2024 invites attendees to enjoy a unique dining experience under the open sky as they stroll along the historic Old Mississippi River Bridge, Lick explained. She said guests will be treated to an array of delectable dishes prepared by some of the area’s most beloved local restaurants while witnessing breathtaking sunsets over the Mississippi River.

    This year’s event will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. on the Old Mississippi Bridge and will include culinary offerings from 27 local locations, including: Hannmade Cakes; Triple J’s Tacos; McDonald’s; Fox’s Pizza; Southern Sister’s Café; Riverwalk Casino; Rusty’s Riverfront Grill; 10 South; Billy’s Italian; Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory; Helen Abraham Catering; Solly’s Hot Tamales; Anchuca; Macarons by AK; Merit Health River Region; Tommy’s BBQ; Japanese Express/Sun Poke/Sun Izakaya; The Bistro of Vicksburg; Brick Street Market; B&D BBQ; Cocktails 101; Pink Sugar Bakery; Mulberry Bistro; Don Ho’s BBQ; Vicksburg Catholic Schools Cafeteria; Ameristar Casino; The Tomato Place.

    Sponsors for this year’s event include: May and Company; City of Vicksburg; Magnolia Estates; Donna and Paul Ingram; Dr. Paul and Jill Pierce; Bally’s Casino; International Paper; Entergy Grand Gulf; Harcros Chemical; The Ivy Place; The Flower Center.

    Tickets for Supper on the ‘Sip 2024 will be available for purchase through the United Way of West Central Mississippi website for the general public beginning Sept. 2 at midnight. 

    “We only have 800 tickets so get your tickets quick, because in the past they have sold out within 30 hours,” Lick said. 

    All proceeds from the event will directly benefit the United Way of West Central Mississippi’s programs and initiatives, which aim to address critical needs and improve the quality of life for individuals and families in local communities.
