Yakima Valley weekend picks: Sip and Stroll downtown and an East Valley craft tour | Explore Yakima

    October 22, 2024

It’s starting to feel like autumn now that the Yakima Valley experienced freezing temperatures. Or maybe it’s all the signs pointing towards Halloween.

Get out and enjoy the warmer day temperatures this weekend before the sun goes down and a chill hits the air.

We’ll have a more comprehensive Halloween listing in Thursday’s print edition. Email sshields@yakimaherald.com with any events.

    Baked potato feed

Enjoy dinner and support a fund raiser from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, 2024, at the Harman Senior Center, 101 N. 65th Ave.

Yakima Valley Senior Citizens Inc. is having a baked potato feed as a fundraising event for the Harman Senior Center. The funds will benefit activities and enhancements for the Harman Center.

Dinner costs $8 and all are welcome.

Five locations are participating in Saturday’s East Valley Country Treasures Craft Tour.
