₹10,000 monthly SIP in this mutual fund has grown to nearly ₹59 lakh in 16 years

    August 19, 2026

A monthly Systematic Investment Plan (SIP) of ₹10,000 in Canara Robeco Large Cap Fund – Regular Plan over 16 years would have grown to around ₹58.8 lakh, according to calculations by Value Research.

The total amount invested through the SIP over the period would have been ₹19.2 lakh. The investment generated annualised returns of 12.81%, taking the accumulated value to about ₹58.8 lakh.

The fund will complete 16 years on August 20, 2026. It was launched on August 20, 2010.

According to Canara Robeco Mutual Fund, the scheme delivered a five-year CAGR of 10.12%, compared with 9.53% delivered by the BSE Sensex Total Return Index (TRI), its additional benchmark.

The fund’s assets under management stood at ₹17,135.79 crore as of July 31, 2026.

    Where the fund invests

The fund had 97.61% of its net assets invested in equities as of July 31. Banks accounted for the largest sector exposure at 26.29%, followed by Automobiles at 7.05%, Finance at 6.48% and IT-Software at 6.28%.

ICICI Bank was the largest individual holding at 8.46% of the portfolio, followed by HDFC Bank at 8.06%, State Bank of India at 4.17% and Axis Bank at 3.19%.

Large-cap companies accounted for 87.02% of the portfolio, while mid-cap companies accounted for 10.58%. Small-cap exposure stood at 0.01%.What investors should note

The SIP return is based on a historical calculation for the Regular Plan and should not be interpreted as a guaranteed or indicative future return. SIP returns can vary depending on the investment dates, market conditions and period considered.

The scheme is classified as very high risk on the riskometer. It predominantly invests in large-cap equity and equity-related instruments and is intended for investors seeking long-term capital appreciation.

The fund has an exit load of 1% if units are redeemed or switched out within one year of allotment. No exit load applies after one year.

Past performance may or may not be sustained in the future. Mutual fund investments are subject to market risks, and investors should read scheme-related documents carefully before investing.
