    Crypto ETFs Bleed $1.29 Billion in One Week as Bitcoin and Ether Funds Lead Exits

    TLDR

    U.S. crypto exchange-traded funds lost $1.29 billion last week, according to Farside Investors data. Bitcoin and Ether funds made up most of the withdrawals.

    ETFs sold $681,000,000 in $BTC and $542,000,000 in $ETH this week.

    Other data sources show slightly different totals. SoSoValue data put combined losses for Bitcoin, Ether and Solana funds at about $1.25 billion.

    Bitcoin funds lost $678.9 million from Oct. 5 to Oct. 9, per Farside. SoSoValue put the figure at $681.1 million. Either way, it ended a three-week run of inflows.

    Bitcoin funds lose money despite Friday inflow

    Wednesday was the worst day, with $484.9 million leaving the funds. Another $244.1 million left on Thursday.

    Funds returned to inflows on Friday, taking in $21.1 million. It was the worst week for Bitcoin funds since late June.

    Fidelity’s Bitcoin fund lost $380.3 million, the most of any fund. ARK 21Shares’ fund followed with $207.2 million in outflows.

    BlackRock’s Bitcoin fund finished slightly up, with $1.1 million in inflows. Bitcoin funds now hold $105.84 billion in net assets.

    Ether and Solana funds see record outflows

    Ether funds lost $542.2 million, their worst week since January. Every trading day ended negative.

    Outflows have now lasted nine straight trading days, worth $697.2 million, per The Block. The run began on Sept. 29.

    BlackRock’s Ether fund lost $477.1 million, about 88% of the weekly total. Tuesday’s $201.9 million exit came on the day its 1-for-3 reverse share split took effect.

    Grayscale’s Ether fund lost $31.9 million. Morgan Stanley’s Ether fund was the only one in Farside’s table with weekly inflows.

    Solana funds lost about $25 million over five negative sessions. It was the largest weekly outflow since the products launched in October 2025.

    The losses ended a record 14-week inflow streak. Two weeks earlier, the funds drew a record $188.2 million in weekly inflows.

    Bitwise’s Solana fund accounted for about $21 million of the exits. Its net assets stand at $1.20 billion.

    Zcash funds lost $30.8 million after $77.6 million in outflows the week before. Hyperliquid funds lost $9.4 million, reversing a $3.4 million inflow.

    Ether traded near $2,506 on Saturday morning, according to The Block. Solana changed hands around $110.50, and Bitcoin sat near $82,900.
