    Belgique. Le nouvel animal qui vient d’arriver à Pairi Daiza est capable de bonds incroyables

    Il y a un nouvel arrivant dans l’immense parc animalier Pairi Daiza, en Belgique. Ce n’est ni le plus gros ni le plus impressionnant des animaux, mais il a des capacités assez incroyables en dépit de sa taille modeste.

    Un nouvel animal capable de bonds impressionnants arrive à Pairi Daiza

    Cet animal, c’est un Saki à face blanche. Cette espèce originaire de l’Amérique du Sud est aussi surnommée le « singe volant ». Il est en effet capable de bonds pouvant atteindre 10 m, lui permettant de sauter de branches en branches. Dans la nature, il vit ainsi essentiellement dans les parties hautes de la forêt.

    C’est une femelle qui vient de faire son arrivée, en provenance du zoo de Stockholm (Suède). Elle est âgée d’1 an et demi et découvre son nouveau territoire, tout en faisant connaissance avec Mikulas, le mâle du parc belge. « Tous deux restent encore un peu timides, mais la cohabitation se passe bien », souffle-t-on du côté de Pairi Daiza.

    Une reproduction serait une nonne nouvelle puisque cette espèce est aujourd’hui menacée dans la nature en raison de la déforestation mais aussi des braconniers qui les chassent pour leur fourrure.
