BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — A bond amount for a former New Roads police officer charged with sex crimes has been set.
According to Pointe Coupee Sheriff’s Office Warden Brent Plauche, Kedreyon Williams’ bond amount was set at $2.5 million by a judge on Monday, July 22.
Williams was arrested on Saturday, July 20 after being accused of multiple sex crimes involving children. He faces charges of first-degree rape of a victim under 13, first-degree rape armed with a dangerous weapon, indecent behavior with a juvenile and pornography involving a juvenile.
New Roads Police Chief Cedrick Epps noted that Williams was not an employee of the New Roads Police Department during Epps’ time as police chief.
