Couples celebrate unbreakable bonds at Laredo’s new Love Lock Bridge

    August 15, 2024

LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) – Couples are already making their mark on Laredo’s new Love Lock Bridge, attaching padlocks to celebrate their eternal love.

On Monday, August 12, the City of Laredo held an inauguration ceremony for the Love Lock Bridge. The event was hosted by District 6 Council Member Dr. Tyler King and 4 Life Center.

The new Love Lock Bridge at North Central Park (North Rim), 10202 International Boulevard, is a place where couples can attach padlocks to show their love. There is a box to throw away the key which symbolizes their unbreakable bonds.

Coming up in our later newscasts, we explore the significance of this new spot in District 6 and see how it’s bringing people together.
