    Le marché des obligations catastrophes poursuit son impressionnante progression

    Les émissions de «cat bonds» ont déjà battu leur record sur cinq mois avec plus de 15 milliards de dollars. Compte tenu des 5,9 milliards de mai, le niveau de 2024, pourtant exercice record à 18 milliards, est déjà à portée de main. En dépit d’une performance moins bonne pour 2025, les «cat bonds» offrent une forme de couverture par rapport aux autres actifs.

    Ouragans, tempêtes, mais aussi tremblements de terre, inondations, actes de terrorisme : les risques à couvrir et pouvant être réassurés par des «cat bonds» ne cessent d’augmenter.

      Les lignes directrices de l’Esma sur la dénomination des fonds ESG, applicables à tous les produits depuis le 21 mai, ont clarifié le statut des obligations vertes au profit de ce marché. Une petite partie des titres émis nécessiterait une analyse plus approfondie.
