Binance Opens Physically Settled Options on 1,000+ U.S. Stocks and ETFs

    September 1, 2026

Binance has launched Binance Stock Options, physically settled options contracts on more than 1,000 U.S.-listed stocks and ETFs.

The product went live on September 1, 2026, and is available to eligible users outside the United States.

For the first time, Binance users can buy calls and puts on names like Tesla, Nvidia, and major ETFs. If exercised, contracts settle as actual shares, not a cash payout.

    How Binance Stock Options Work

The product runs on a familiar broker stack. Nest Trading Limited acts as introducing broker.

Alpaca Securities LLC serves as U.S. clearing broker and custodian. Shares are held in custody by Alpaca on behalf of Binance users after physical settlement.

Phase one is long-only. Users can buy calls or buy puts. They cannot write options or take short option exposure. Orders are limit-only.

Premiums are funded from the Funding Account, which is required, alongside Spot and Flexible Earn balances. Supported currencies include USDC, USDT, USD1, U, and BNB.

Trading follows U.S. options market hours: 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. ET for most stocks, and up to 4:15 p.m. ET for certain ETF and ETN contracts. No pre-market or after-hours book is available for most names.

That physical settlement detail is the investor story. Binance already offers cash-settled gold and silver options, where winning contracts pay out in USDT.

Stock options are different: a successful call can become a long equity position inside the same account. That changes the risk profile from price exposure to actual balance-sheet ownership.

Users who want to check whether a specific name has options available should open the stock kline page and look for the “Options” tab. If the tab is present, options are live for that ticker.

Exercise instructions must be submitted before the cut-off on expiration day. Positions that receive no instruction are auto-liquidated on a best-efforts basis before market close.

Where Stock Options Fit Into Binance’s TradFi Build

This launch is the latest step in a year-long TradFi rollout. In June 2026, Binance opened direct trading in 7,000+ U.S. stocks and ETFs, zero commission, fractional shares from $5, funded in stablecoins and BNB.

Shortly after, bStocks launched as ADGM-approved certificates on BNB Chain, convertible 1:1 into the underlying share.

Then in July, cash-settled gold and silver options expanded the derivatives layer. Now Binance Stock Options sit on top of all three.

Binance Research data already showed the stack was being used as a single portfolio. More than half of bStocks users also traded perps or direct equities.

Over 40% entered TradFi through the tokenized layer first. Options now extend that funnel for users who want defined-risk directional bets or a hedge against existing equity holdings.

The broader super-app thesis is detailed in Binance’s TradFi stack overview: one account for crypto, tokenized stocks, real stocks, commodity options, and now listed equity options.

The commercial limits in phase one remain clear, buy-side only, limit orders only, U.S. session hours, non-U.S. users, and suitability gating.

Investors who want broader access to tokenized U.S. names can also compare platforms to trade tokenized stocks beyond Binance.

On X, Binance announced the launch with the line: “More finance. Until it’s all on Binance.” That framing tracks with what the exchange has built since January 2026, from ADGM-regulated perpetuals to real share delivery.

Binance Stock Options add the hedging and speculation layer that completes the basic architecture of a traditional equities account, accessible through a crypto-native platform.

For anyone already running a crypto exchange for real-world assets, this is the clearest signal yet that the line between crypto venues and equity brokers is narrowing fast.
