CoinGecko adds tracking for 126+ tokenized ETFs, including Bitcoin ETFs

    September 2, 2026

CoinGecko, one of the largest cryptocurrency data platforms, has rolled out tracking for more than 200 exchange-traded funds on its platform. The expansion includes both traditional crypto-focused ETFs and, more notably, tokenized versions of conventional financial products that live on-chain.

CoinGecko’s new ETF category covers tokenized counterparts for a wide range of financial products. That means equities like SPY and QQQ, bonds, and commodities including gold and silver, all represented as digital tokens on blockchain networks.

The tokenized ETF corner of the market now exceeds 126 entries on CoinGecko’s platform, with a collective market capitalization sitting at roughly $599 million.

Among the notable listings are products from Ondo Finance, which has been one of the more aggressive issuers in the tokenized ETF space. Ondo’s lineup includes IVVON, a tokenized version of the iShares Core S&P 500 ETF, and IBITON, a tokenized take on the iShares Bitcoin Trust.

The practical appeal of these products comes down to a few things: fractional ownership, 24/7 settlement, and the ability to trade what are essentially traditional financial instruments without waiting for the New York Stock Exchange to open.

    CoinGecko’s RWA play

In August 2026, the platform added dedicated API endpoints for RWA data and tokenized products, giving developers and institutional users programmatic access to pricing, volume, and performance data for these on-chain instruments.

The platform now lists tokenized ETFs from multiple issuers across various trading platforms, creating a single aggregation layer that didn’t previously exist. Before this, tracking the performance of a tokenized S&P 500 product against its traditional counterpart required stitching together data from several different sources.

    Why tokenized ETFs keep growing

A tokenized version of an S&P 500 ETF doesn’t change what you’re investing in. It changes how you invest. The underlying exposure is the same basket of 500 large-cap US stocks. But the wrapper is different: instead of holding shares through a brokerage account with T+1 settlement, you hold a token that settles instantly and can be moved between wallets or used as collateral in DeFi protocols.

The $599 million market cap across 126-plus tokenized ETFs is still a rounding error compared to the roughly $10 trillion US ETF market.
