Franklin Templeton has announced the launch of four new UCITS ETFs targeting specific US sectors: technology, financials, consumer discretionary and communication services.
The four new funds include: the Franklin S&P 500 Information Technology UCITS ETF, Franklin S&P 500 Financials UCITS ETF, Franklin S&P 500 Consumer Discretionary UCITS ETF and Franklin S&P 500 Communication Services UCITS ETF.
These will be listed on the German Stock Exchange today (12 May), followed by the Italian market and the London Stock Exchange on 14 May.
Dina Ting, head of global index portfolio management, and Lorenzo Croato and Dave McGown, ETF portfolio managers, will be responsible for running the new ETFs.
Matthew Harrison, head of EMEA and America’s (ex-US), said: “These sector ETFs provide precise, transparent and cost-efficient access to key areas of the US equity market.
“The S&P 500 Capped 35/20 sector indices help manage concentration risk by applying clear limits to the largest constituents, supporting more deliberate portfolio construction and risk management.”
