Gentherm has climbed to the top of the Blue Horseshoe score, a ranking that tracks coordinated buying activity among active ETFs. Landing at the top is notable for any stock, but it is especially unusual for a company with a market cap of just $1 billion, the kind of smaller name that typically flies under institutional radar.
The score reflects a clean sweep: 11 active ETFs initiated new positions in the stock during the measured period, while zero sold. That unanimity of direction is what makes the signal worth paying attention to. When active managers move together into a name without anyone heading for the exit, it suggests a level of conviction that goes beyond a routine rebalance.
The biggest buyers named by Bloomberg ETF analyst Eric Balchunas include TCW, Granny Shots (the ETF run by Fundstrat’s Tom Lee), and Thrivent. These are distinct strategies with different mandates, so the overlap points to something in Gentherm’s fundamentals or positioning that multiple teams found independently compelling.
One additional wrinkle: no Bloomberg Intelligence analyst currently covers the stock. That gap means institutional buyers moved in without the usual sell-side scaffolding of initiation reports and price targets, which can itself be a signal that early-mover positioning is underway before broader coverage catches up.
