    Bramshill Investments Expands Its Emerging Markets Debt Team

    NAPLES, Fla., Sept. 16, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Bramshill Investments, an award-winning alternative asset management firm is expanding its capabilities in Emerging Markets Debt. Today the Firm announced that Chris Milonopoulos and Sergio Valderrama have joined the firm as Portfolio Managers and Managing Directors. Both will be based in New York City.

Both Sergio and Chris are experienced and disciplined emerging markets portfolio managers and are fantastic additions to the team,” said Arif Joshi, Head of Emerging Markets, Senior Managing Director & Portfolio Manager. Since launching the EM Debt Strategy in March 2026, the strategy has grown to approximately $200 million in AUM.

    Chris Milonopoulos is a Portfolio Manager and Managing Director at Bramshill Investments, where he sits on the Emerging Markets team focusing on investment opportunities across the capital structure of emerging countries in Asia, Central/Eastern Europe, and the Middle East. Prior to joining Bramshill, Mr. Milonopoulos spent 15 years at Lazard Asset Management, where he served as a Portfolio Analyst, Director, and Head Trader on the Emerging Markets Debt team before being promoted to firmwide Head of Fixed Income Trading. His work there spanned country analysis, investment recommendations, portfolio attribution and rebalancing, and trade execution, with a primary focus on Emerging Markets local debt and FX markets. Before Lazard, he spent two years at HSBC Asset Management as a Support Analyst and Junior Trader on the Emerging Markets Debt team, followed by six months at Ernst & Young as a Senior Consultant in the Financial Services practice. Mr. Milonopoulos began his career at Bloomberg LP, where he spent seven years, first as a programmer and later as a Sales and Implementation Manager. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering from McGill University, a Master’s in Environmental Engineering from Columbia University, and an MBA, also from Columbia.

    Sergio Valderrama is a Portfolio Manager and Managing Director at Bramshill Investments and a member of the Emerging Markets team, where he focuses on investment opportunities across the capital structure of emerging markets, with particular emphasis on Latin America and Africa. Prior to joining Bramshill, Mr. Valderrama spent 16 years at Lazard Asset Management, where he was a Director and Portfolio Manager/Analyst on the Emerging Markets Debt team, specializing in sovereign credit and hard-currency sovereign debt strategies. Before joining Lazard in 2010, Mr. Valderrama was a sovereign analyst at Moody’s Investors Service, where his responsibilities included sovereign credit analysis, country risk monitoring, the production of sovereign research, and participation in sovereign rating committees. Earlier in his career, he worked as an economist at IDEAglobal. Mr. Valderrama began his career in the investment industry in 1999. Mr. Valderrama holds an MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business and a BA from Ithaca College.
