GCB Bank cautions public against fraudulent “GCB Investments” platform

    August 29, 2025

GCB Bank PLC has issued a strong warning to its customers and the general public, disassociating itself from an alleged online investment platform operating under the name “GCB Investments.”

In a public notice, the Bank clarified that it has no affiliation with the platform or any similar schemes that claim links to GCB Bank, GCB Capital Ltd., or their stakeholders. It described such claims, promotions, or representations as “false and misleading.”

The Bank cautioned the public to disregard these fraudulent schemes and avoid engaging with individuals or entities making unrealistic financial promises under its brand name.

“As your trusted financial partner, GCB Bank PLC remains committed to safeguarding your funds and providing secure, transparent, and regulated financial services,” the statement read.

GCB emphasized that its official communications and products are only accessible through its verified channels, including its website (www.gcbbank.com.gh), verified social media platforms, and nationwide branch network.

The Bank urged customers with doubts about any investment or banking offers to verify directly through its Contact Centre on 0800 422 422 (toll free), 0202 422 422 via WhatsApp, or by visiting the nearest branch.

“Your security and confidence remain our top priority. At GCB, we stand firm in protecting our customers against fraud,” the statement concluded
