The Wealth Company MF launches specialised investment fund; NFO to open on April 15

    April 14, 2026

The Wealth Company Mutual Fund, part of Pantomath Group, has announced the launch of a specialised investment fund (SIF) named ‘WSIF’, marking its entry into a relatively new category within India’s mutual fund landscape.

The new fund offer (NFO) will open on April 15 and close on April 29. The fund will offer two strategies: WSIF Equity Long-Short Fund and WSIF Equity Ex-Top 100 Long-Short Fund.

According to the company, the strategies combine long-term equity investments with short positions, aiming to balance participation in market gains with downside risk management. The Equity Long-Short Fund will primarily invest 80–100% in equities, with the flexibility to take limited short exposure through derivatives, along with allocations to debt and money market instruments.

The Equity Ex-Top 100 Long-Short Fund will focus on companies beyond the top 100 by market capitalisation, with at least 65% invested in mid- and small-cap stocks. It will also employ selective long-short strategies to tap into opportunities in broader markets.

Specialised Investment Funds are an emerging category in India’s mutual fund industry, allowing the use of tools such as short selling, dynamic hedging, and flexible asset allocation within a regulated structure. These features are intended to help portfolios manage volatility and navigate different market conditions.

The company said both strategies will rely on research-driven stock selection combined with derivative-based approaches for portfolio construction.

Company experts said the launch aligns with efforts to expand product offerings in evolving segments of the investment market, as fund houses explore strategies beyond traditional long-only equity investing.
