Following the recent completion of the Candleriggs Square Build to Rent scheme in Glasgow, GRAHAM Construction has released some images of the interiors.
The £81.5m development was built on behalf of Legal and General (L&G) and they have incorporated their own style and branding, making the space their own.
Following the project topping out in June and completing ahead of schedule, GRAHAM were pleased to hand over the keys, so L&G could move ahead with the fit-out of the internal building.
GRAHAM has since revisited the Candleriggs Square Build to Rent scheme, with Alistair Leith taking a range of photographs of the interiors.
The 325,000 sq ft Candleriggs Square development includes 346 Build to Rent apartments and commercial units on the ground floor.
Further up the building, there is a communal landscaped courtyard and a range of roof terraces, offering views over Scotland’s most populous city.
The 3.6-acre site, developed alongside Drum Property Group and Stamford Investments, is seen as an important chapter in the regeneration of Glasgow’s Merchant City.
For most of the 20th century, Candleriggs square played host to a department store, before remaining unoccupied and derelict for over two decades following the closure of the last operator in 1999.
Acquiring the site in March 2019, Candleriggs Development 2 Limited – the joint venture between Drum and Stamford – launched this ambitious £300m plan to transform Candleriggs Square. In October 2020, the pair secured £81.5m forward funding from Legal & General to deliver the scheme.
