The Humane Society of the Treasure Coast will host the seventh annual Kitty Catalina Wine Mixer September 6, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Palm City shelter’s Memorial Garden (4100 Southwest Leighton Farm Avenue).
Adoption fees for cats older than one year will be waived during the event, thanks to presenting sponsor Sherry Dunn, an animal rescue advocate and international best-selling author.
Guests will mingle with friends and sample wines from Florida vineyards, including: Keel and Curley Winery, Florida Orange Groves Winery, Secret Gardens Winery & Farm, and San Sebastian Winery. Chef Amy Freeze of Heritage Kitchen at Secret Gardens will serve light bites while attendees enjoy raffle baskets and of course, the stars of the evening, cats and kittens.
Registration ahead of the event is $30 and is available here, which includes admission and one free raffle ticket. Admission at the door is $40. All proceeds will benefit the humane society’s shelter animals. Attendees must be 21 or older. Attendance is limited to 75 guests.
