Summer sun has been sorely lacking this year. Still, we live in hope for a gorgeous July and, besides, no one lives in Ireland because of our great weather. We tend to make the best of it, though, and the merest hint of a sunny day will see plenty of us head for a park or beach to picnic or party or just fire up the barbecue in the back garden.
While food is important, a picnic’s key ingredient is cold drinks, so a good cool box and ice packs are a must. Real wine glasses look lovely but are also an accident waiting to happen, so reusable plastic ones are a smarter choice. Wines with a screw cap rather than cork make sense too,
