The Animal Welfare Association (AWA) in Voorhees will host a “Barking Lot Sips & Brews” event on Friday, July 26 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. to raise money for homeless animals.
The family-friendly fundraiser will feature food trucks, Tito’s cocktails, local brews, live music by Opus Soul, cornhole, and other games. Admission is free, with drink tickets available for purchase for those 21 and older.
For dog owners, the event offers a couple special options. Graze & Go will be selling “BARKuterie Boxes” for pups to enjoy. The AWA behavior team is also holding free 30-minute “Pub Ready Pooch” training classes at 6 and 7 p.m. to teach dogs “proper etiquette” for public spaces like restaurants and breweries. Dogs must be up-to-date on vaccinations to participate in the training.
Food will be available from the Mexi-Boys and Smokeology BBQ food trucks.
The event takes place at the AWA campus, 509 Centennial Blvd. in Voorhees.
