Motilal Oswal MF launches Infrastructure Fund

    April 23, 2025

Motilal Oswal Mutual Fund has launched the Motilal Oswal Infrastructure Fund. The new fund offer (NFO) opens on April 23, 2025, and closes on May 7, 2025.

This open-ended equity scheme will invest in companies that operate in or benefit from the infrastructure sector. The fund aims for long-term capital appreciation. Its benchmark is the Nifty Infrastructure Total Return Index.

According to Motilal Oswal AMC, the government has allocated ₹111 lakh crore to infrastructure between FY20 and FY25—up from ₹57 lakh crore during FY13–19.

Capital expenditure is expected to account for 22.1% of total spending in FY26.

The fund will focus on sectors such as roads, railways, power, housing, defence, and digital infrastructure. It will be managed by a team including Ajay Khandelwal, Atul Mehra, Bhalchandra Shinde, Rakesh Shetty, and Sunil Sawant.

Prateek Agrawal, MD & CEO, Motilal Oswal AMC, said the fund provides investors an opportunity to participate directly in India’s infrastructure transformation.

Associate Fund Manager Bhalchandra Shinde said the portfolio would target companies involved across the infrastructure value chain while managing associated risks.

The fund will be managed by a five-member team and is available in both IDCW and Growth options. Investors should refer to the Scheme Information Document for complete details and risk factors.
