    Top 7 smallcap mutual funds with highest 5-year SIP returns; top fund has given over 28% returns

    Smallcap mutual funds are equity funds that invest in small-sized companies having a market capitalisation of up to Rs 5,000 crore. Compared to funds that concentrate on larger companies, these funds are more volatile and risky, but they also seek to give investors the possibility of financial appreciation. These mutual fund mostly invests 65 per cent of their assets in smallcap stocks. The remaining may be invested in midcap or largecap stocks.

    Here’s a list of the top seven smallcap mutual equity funds with the highest SIP returns in five years. Take a look:

    Bandhan Small Cap Fund

    Top smallcap fund Bandhan Small Cap Fund has given a 28.74 per cent SIP return in five years. The fund size is Rs 14,062 crore. As of August 8, 2025, the fund’s net asset value (NAV) was Rs 49.52.

    Invesco India Smallcap Fund

    Invesco India Smallcap Fund is the second top fund, which has given a 26.47 per cent SIP return in five years. The fund size is Rs 7,580 crore. As of August 8, 2025, the fund’s NAV was Rs 45.24.

    Quant Small Cap Fund

    This smallcap equity mutual fund has a 25.53 per cent SIP return in five years. The fund size is Rs 29,463 crore. As of August 8, 2025, the fund’s NAV was Rs 268.14.

    Nippon India Small Cap Fund 

    The fourth fund on the list is Nippon India Small Cap Fund. It has given a 25.36 per cent SIP return in five years. The fund size is Rs 65,922 crore. As of August 8, 2025, the fund’s NAV was Rs 184.60.

    Tata Small Cap Fund 

    This smallcap equity mutual fund has a 24.20 per cent SIP return in five years. The fund size is Rs 11,576 crore. As of August 8, 2025, the fund’s NAV was Rs 44.14.

    HDFC Small Cap Fund

    HDFC Small Cap Fund has given a 24.12 per cent SIP return in five years. The fund size is Rs 36,353 crore. As of August 8, 2025, the fund’s NAV was Rs 157.41.

    Edelweiss Small Cap Fund

    The seventh fund on the list is Edelweiss Small Cap Fund. It has given a 23.10 per cent SIP return in five years. The fund size is Rs 4,980 crore. As of August 8, 2025, the fund’s NAV was Rs 47.22.
