The winner, from Cheshire, secured the £1million jackpot in the June Premium Bonds draw, with the winning bond bought in March 2024.
A total of 307 winners across the county took home a combined £1,898,000.
Matthew White, site manager at latestbettingoffers.co.uk, said: “Premium Bond holders have received a welcome boost after NS&I announced that the prize fund rate will increase to 3.8 per cent from July, alongside improved odds of winning.
“With an estimated 322,000 extra prizes being added to the monthly draw, savers will have more opportunities to see a return on their holdings.
“The latest Premium Bonds draw has seen great results in Cheshire, with 307 winners scooping up £1,898,000.
“With bonds purchased as recently as March 2024, it shows that newer investors can win big prizes quickly.
“While Premium Bonds are unlikely to outperform the best savings accounts over the long term, their appeal has always been about more than returns.
“The combination of Government-backed security and the chance of a tax-free prize continues to attract millions of savers, and these latest changes should make the product even more attractive to existing and prospective bondholders.”
In addition to the £1million winner, the Cheshire prize breakdown included two winners of £100,000, three who won £50,000, three who received £25,000, 11 who took home £10,000, 19 who won £5,000, and 268 who won £1,000.
The average prize value in Cheshire was £6,182, compared to the national average of £2,978.
Nationally, 17,706 winners across the UK claimed a total of £52,729,000 in prizes during the June draw.
