Ex-Global X CEO launches new boutique ETF shop

    October 15, 2024

The former CEO of Global X has resurfaced in the asset management world, launching his own ETF-focused boutique.

Luis Berruga, who departed Global X in November 2023 at the beginning of what would become a months-long collection of C-suite exits, has launched his own investment and advisory business, LBS Capital, Citywire has confirmed.

A description of the new venture on its website describes the firm as a ‘boutique investment firm and advisory business specializing in the wealth and asset management industry, with a focus on ETFs and corporate governance.’ The firm is based in New York and will partner with ‘family offices, entrepreneurs, and a select group of C-level executives in the wealth and asset management industry to deliver tailored investment strategies, smart capital, and pragmatic strategic advice.’
