    Castrol, filiale de BP, suscite l’intérêt d’Apollo et de Reliance selon Bloomberg

    L’activité lubrifiants Castrol, détenue par BP, attire l’attention de plusieurs acteurs majeurs, parmi lesquels l’indienne Reliance Industries, rapporte mercredi Bloomberg News, citant des sources proches du dossier.

    Selon le média, des fonds d’investissement tels qu’Apollo Global Management et Lone Star Funds manifestent également leur intérêt pour cette filiale. L’opération pourrait atteindre une valorisation comprise entre 8 milliards et 10 milliards de dollars.

    BP aurait déjà transmis des informations préliminaires à d’autres candidats potentiels, dont Brookfield Asset Management et Stonepeak Partners, précise encore Bloomberg.

    Contactés par Reuters, BP et Apollo Global Management ont refusé de commenter tandis que Lone Star Funds n’a pas répondu immédiatement à la sollicitation de l’agence. Reliance Industries n’a pas non plus réagi dans l’immédiat, en dehors des heures ouvrables en Inde.

    Ces potentiels acquéreurs viendraient rejoindre Saudi Aramco, déjà sur les rangs pour soumettre une offre sur tout ou partie de l’activité. Reuters avait révélé la semaine dernière que BP envisageait de céder sa filiale Castrol, selon des sources proches du dossier.
