Property Lunch: Hear from the head of infrastructure at Birmingham City FC

    July 22, 2025

Nick Smith, head of infrastructure, Birmingham City FC

One of the most exciting long-term regeneration projects in the West Midlands is Birmingham City’s 135-acre Sports Quarter development.

Nick Smith, head of infrastructure at Birmingham City FC, will provide an update on the project, 18 months after it was first unveiled, and how the current timeline is shaping up.

He will discuss how the club’s investments are part of driving the wider region’s growth plans, including the very recent transport investment pledge by the Government to fund the tram extension between the stadium site and the city centre.

Nick will also share some of his previous experiences in delivering sports-led regeneration, creating sustainable places and developing environments that have propelled organisations to perform at their very best.

What to expect at the lunch?

    • A chance to hear first-hand about Birmingham City’s 135-acre Sports Quarter development
    • A two-course lunch & welcome drink
    • Networking with leading professionals from across the West Midlands
