Mulva Cultural Center announces outdoor music series, Sunday brunch

    August 13, 2024

The new Savour, Sips and Sounds series means you can enjoy a berbere chicken lollipop or smokehouse burger sliders while taking in live music.

DE PERE – Just when you think all the summer concert series are winding down, here’s one that’s just starting up.

The Mulva Cultural Center’s new Savour, Sips and Sounds begins Aug. 29 and will run from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. for five consecutive Thursdays on the north patio.

The free series features local musicians playing an outdoor space with fireside tables, couches and views of the sunset over the Fox River. Guests can purchase food and beverages, including wine and craft beers. Each concert highlights an item from the Mulva’s restaurant, Savour on Broadway, served in a smaller portion for the series.

Here are the artists and the menu items:

    • Aug. 29: Seth James; mini charcuterie
    • Sept. 5: Jacob Fannin; smokehouse burger sliders
    • Sept. 12: Carmyn; Buffalo and smoky garlic Parm cauliflower wings
    • Sept. 19: Levi Ballenger; Ahi tuna nachos
    • Sept. 26: Open Tab; berbere chicken lollipop with sweet potato gnocchi

Savour on Broadway to begin serving Sunday brunch

Beginning this weekend, Savour on Broadway will serve brunch from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sundays.

The upscale-casual restaurant opened in April on the main floor of the Mulva. Among the items on the new brunch menu from executive chef Bernard Beronio:

    • Veggie and feta frittata
    • Bacon lardons
    • Stuffed French toast
    • Bananas Foster bubble waffle
    • Lobster truffle Benedict
    • Smokehouse brunch burger
    • Pork schnitzel sandwich
    • Korean chicken and waffles

More: A mysterious yellow dome has popped up outside the Mulva Cultural Center in De Pere this summer. What’s it all about?

To coincide with brunch, the Mulva Cultural Center, including the Splurge Gift Shop, Discover Auditorium and Exhibition Hall, will open at 10 a.m. Sundays, two hours earlier than its previous noon to 5 p.m. hours.
