Paisabazaar enters mutual funds with daily SIP: What investors should know

    September 16, 2026

Investors with irregular or uneven cash flows may have another way to build a mutual fund investment habit, with Paisabazaar launching a daily SIP option on its platform.

The product allows investors to put smaller amounts into mutual funds every day instead of committing to a larger monthly SIP. Paisabazaar said the feature is aimed particularly at self-employed individuals, small business owners, shopkeepers and gig workers whose income may not follow a fixed monthly cycle.

However, the more frequent investment schedule by itself does not necessarily mean higher returns. The outcome will continue to depend on the amount invested, the mutual fund selected, the time spent invested and market movements. For investors with regular salaries, a monthly SIP may continue to be a simpler way to automate investments.

Daily SIP vs monthly SIP: What changes

A SIP is a method of investing a fixed amount at regular intervals into a mutual fund. Changing the frequency from monthly to daily mainly changes how the investment amount is spread through the month.

For example, an investor who wants to invest ₹3,000 a month could potentially spread the amount across daily investments instead of making one monthly contribution, subject to the platform’s minimum investment rules.

The difference in returns can depend on the market levels on the days when investments are made. Since markets move up and down, investing across more days can spread the purchase points over the month, but it does not eliminate market risk or guarantee better returns.

For investors whose income arrives frequently but in smaller amounts, however, a daily investment option could make it easier to align contributions with cash flows. The key consideration remains whether the investor can maintain the contribution consistently over the long term.

Is daily SIP better for investors?

Financial planners generally emphasise the habit and consistency of investing rather than the frequency alone. An investor with a stable monthly income may not necessarily need to switch from a monthly SIP simply because a daily option is available.

For those with irregular income, the ability to invest smaller amounts more frequently could be useful if it helps them maintain regular investments without putting pressure on their monthly cash flow.

Investors should also check the minimum investment amount, mandate requirements, fund selection, exit load, expense ratio and other applicable costs before choosing a SIP structure.

Paisabazaar, which is part of listed PB Fintech, said its mutual fund offering includes funds from multiple asset management companies. The company is a registered mutual fund distributor with AMFI.

The launch comes as Paisabazaar expands beyond its traditional credit-led offerings into savings and investment products. It had introduced bonds and fixed deposits on its platform last year.
