Popular YouTuber opening Sip City, new drink shop in Woodway

    August 15, 2024

WACO, Texas (KWTX) – One half of the famous YouTubers Brooklyn & Bailey is opening a new drink shop in Central Texas.

Brooklyn McKnight, who rose to online fame alongside her twin sister Bailey, has confirmed to KWTX that she and her husband, Dakota Blackburn, will open their second location of Sip City in Woodway after successfully opening a first location in Plano in August.

“We are super-duper excited because it’s our second location,” Brooklyn told KWTX.

Sip City is a drink business which offers a variety of refreshing drink options with bases like Coke, root beer, sweet tea and lemonade. For 30 cents more, you can chose from 30 syrup options, including cherry, peach, and pineapple among others.

Add-ins including Whipped Cream, fresh lime and Red Bull are also available.

Sip City has kept prices reasonable with drinks starting as inexpensive as $1.75 and a 44 oz. being $2.55.

The Woodway location will include a drive-thru but will also welcome customers to an inside store.

“It’s a drive-thru drink company which, basically, means you can come through our drive through and order any drink you want with any syrups or creamers or fruits,” Brooklyn said. “We have tons of different add-ins. Some of our most popular drinks are soda based. Our number one drink is “The Dallas,” and it’s actually Dr. Pepper with peach and vanilla cream.”

The influencers are not new to Central Texas.

Brooklyn & Bailey attended Baylor University in Waco from 2018-2021. They’ve teased online this week to their tens of millions of followers that Sip City was expanding.

The sign for Sip City in Woodway just went up. Brooklyn said she knew the Waco-area would be perfect next spot.

“I am a Baylor grad, so Waco was my home for four years, tried and true, and it just needs a place like this,” Brooklyn said. “I feel like everyone in the area is going to eat it up. Everyone is going to love coming through the drive thru. It’s also very hot in Waco, so having a nice, cold, yummy drink for those hot days, there’s just nothing like it.”

Sip City will also offer sweet treats, including edible cookie dough and chocolate chip and chilled sugar cookies.

Brooklyn says they hope to have a grand opening for Sip City in Woodway in September or October.

“We hope everyone enjoys and can come by when we have our grand opening,” she said.

Brooklyn tells KWTX they have plans for a 3rd and 4th location, though cities have not yet been announced.
