SUMMERFEST ’24: Shop, sip and savour

    July 19, 2024

Always a highlight of Pelham Summerfest, the vendor village returns to Pelham Street tonight. This year’s Summerfest brings more than 40 businesses from across the Niagara Region to Pelham for a four-day highlight of local talent and goods. Priority is given to Pelham area businesses, which contribute to the small-town hometown festival feel of the event, say organizers.

“From tasty treats like ice cream and snow cones to full meals and snacks, there is no shortage of delicious food to be found at Pelham Summerfest,” said Director of Recreation Culture and Wellness Vickie vanRavenswaay. “The retail and artisan vendors have some wonderful offerings that will continue to make Pelham Street a great place to shop.”

Those who have attended past years of the festival will recognize many returning vendors and are invited to welcome in some of the new ones joining this year who were selected from the record number of vendor applications reviewed by the volunteers who help support Pelham Summerfest.

This year, the vendor village will expand, adding even more shopping to Sunday in Peace Park. Guests will have extra opportunities to shop favourites from the festival or grab some goodies to snack on while perusing the Sunday car show.

Several community groups will also be present in the vendor village, happy to answer questions about their services and programming.

Visitors to the celebration are also encouraged to walk to nearby areas, stopping by to shop at some of the local businesses in Downtown Fonthill.

Those hoping to shop should consider bringing cash and cards to the festival to ensure they can make purchases at the many vendors present.

A full list of vendors attending each day of Pelham Summerfest can be found online at pelhamsummerfest.ca.
