    Phillip Securities tokenizes investments in Sony’s “Hero’s Island” | by Norbert Gehrke | Tokyo FinTech | Jul, 2024

    Phillip Securities’ Japanese subsidiary will tokenize silent partnership interests in Sony’s upcoming film “Hero’s Island”, which is scheduled to be released nationwide in 2025, based on issuance technology provided by Securitize Japan.

    The Movie

    Hero’s Island” is amoving masterpiece depicting the unwavering tenacity of the human spirit, following the lives of boys and girls born in Okinawa during World War II as they face fate and struggle to survive during the turbulent two decades from 1952 under US military rule.

    On, Gusuku, Rei, and Yamako are senka agiyaa, who steal supplies from the US military to distribute to the people. One night, their raid on the largest base, Kadena Air Base, fails, and On, the hero of the group, goes missing along with a mysterious prize.

    The three remaining friends grow up and go their separate ways, all while continuing to search for On. Gusuku becomes a detective and chooses to cooperate with the US Civil Administration of the Ryukyu Islands to maintain peace and order on the island and find On. Meanwhile, Rei seeks to fight back against the US military by force. Yamako becomes a teacher but is involved in a serious accident, and the former friends drift further apart.

    On the night of a historical riot, the three reunite at Kadena Air Base and finally discover the shocking truth about On’s whereabouts and the mysterious prize he obtained.

    • Redemption: Automatically terminates at the end of the investment period
