Kotak Mutual Fund’s market outlook
The fund house’s outlook takes into account global uncertainties, including the West Asia conflict, crude oil price volatility and a hawkish turn among global central banks.
However, it believes India remains resilient to market shocks. The fund house cites a FY27 gross domestic product (GDP) growth forecast of 7.1% and describes India as the fastest-growing economy.
It also said high-frequency data suggest a broad-based recovery. It expects domestic demand to continue driving corporate earnings growth and noted that India is becoming less vulnerable to oil shocks.
Kotak Mutual Fund’s investment strategy
The fund house has outlined four broad principles for the coming year.
First, it recommends following asset allocation to navigate volatile markets.
Second, it advises investors to consider quality over momentum.
Third, it expects moderate returns from the market. The fund house clarified that this expectation applies to the market and not to mutual fund schemes.
Fourth, it recommends investing with a long-term horizon.
