Rs 11,000 Monthly SIP in Midcap MFs: Top 7 mutual funds, 5-year returns and how much you could have earned

    August 12, 2026

Midcap mutual funds (MFs) are funds that primarily invest in midcap companies’ stocks. These midcap companies’ market capitalisation is between Rs 5,000 crore and Rs 20,000 crore. These companies potentially grow faster than largecap companies, which means midcap companies can provide better returns. However, they can be more volatile when the market is down.

Midcap companies have better scope for growth, expand businesses, earn more revenues, and gain market share in comparison with already established largecap companies.
