    L’ETF sur la défense européenne de WisdomTree dépasse un milliard d’euros d’encours

    C’est ce que l’on appelle «prendre une longueur d’avance». En lançant le tout premier fonds coté (ETF) investi sur le secteur européen de la défense, WisdomTree a collecté près de 1 milliard d’euros. Lancé le 11 mars 2025, le fonds WisdomTree Europe Defence UCITS ETF (WDEF) demeure le seul ETF exclusivement consacré aux entreprises européennes du secteur de la défense. D’autres ETF sur la défense existent, mais sont plus internationaux et investissent notamment dans les grands fournisseurs militaires américains.

    S’il a rencontré beaucoup de succès au niveau de la collecte, la performance n’est cependant pas tout à fait au rendez-vous en ces temps mouvants. A date, il perd un peu plus de 3%.

    L’ETF suit l’indice WisdomTree Europe Defence UCITS, créé spécialement et qui exclut les entreprises impliquées dans des armes controversées interdites par le droit international, telles que les bombes à sous-munitions, les mines antipersonnel, les armes biologiques et chimiques, ainsi que les armes à uranium appauvri ou au phosphore blanc. L’indice exclut également les entreprises qui enfreignent les normes et standards internationaux, notamment les règles établies par les Nations Unies et l’OCDE, ou qui font l’objet de sanctions imposées par l’ONU, l’Union européenne ou les États-Unis.
